Our Guest Jamie Galloway
LARRY: Welcome to Something More! This is Larry Sparks and today we’re going to talk about something very interesting. In fact the show is called “Something More.” I believe God wants you to experience more! There is a realm behind the veil. Behind what you can see with your natural eyes there’s a whole world that’s taking place! There’s an invisible realm of the spirit and I believe our guest today is going to share some insight and revelation that’s going to open your eyes to see into that invisible realm because let me tell you every believer I believe God’s given access to every single Christian into that realm! So Jamie, nice to see you! Nice to have you here!
JAMIE: Larry, thank you.
LARRY: I want to talk to you about the “see-er” anointing today.
JAMIE: Yeah.
LARRY: It’s one of those things when we start talking about a “see-er,” people are like okay, I don’t know if I know what that is. Or if people are knowledgeable in scripture they’ll say well maybe is that an Old Testament type of thing. So if I were to ask you, Jamie, what is a “see-er,” what would a modern “see-er” look like, what would you say?
JAMIE: Yeah, that’s a great question. You know First Samuel 9:9 we know that you know before anyone went to a prophet, they formerly were in Israel and were going to the “see-er’s” house.
LARRY: Yeah, yeah.
JAMIE: As First Samuel 9:9 says that he who is now called a prophet was once called a “see-er”
LARRY: Yes.
JAMIE: And that kinds of scares people. So does that mean I’m a prophet if I’m a “see-er”?
LARRY: Yeah. Yeah.
JAMIE: And I would just simplify it and make it super simple.
LARRY: Yeah.
JAMIE: Charles Spurgeon, one of the most greatest Baptist preachers, he said this very interesting thing about “see-ers.” He says before anyone can be a prophet or a spokesperson for God, they must first be a “see-er.
LARRY: Wow!
JAMIE: And he related “see-er,” that whole realm, this understanding, to intimacy.
LARRY: Mmm!
JAMIE: And it’s really gazing into who God is, what He’s about, what He has.
LARRY: Yeah.
JAMIE: And then operating out of that. Seeing beyond the veil and gazing into the glory and the beauty of God and then living out of that place, that splendor of His majesty and then our ministry or our purpose flows from seeing and then we walk in the prophetic from there.
LARRY: Yeah. Well I think that’s so powerful because I think sometimes and you know some people get a little aggravated with the kind of the faith movement sometimes where it’s like well I’m declaring this and I’m confessing this, that’s actually a valid principle.
JAMIE: Very.
LARRY: Declaration, confession. But I feel like the “see-er” anointing goes hand-in-hand with that because it’s almost like I want to see into the invisible realm of the spirit. I want to see into God. I want to see into His world what He’s doing so I can actually align my prayers and my declarations with what God is already doing!
JAMIE: Yeah. It’s important that, I like that
LARRY: because I think it’s important for us to recognize that God wants to give us eyes to see. He doesn’t want to just give us a know-how in our spirit or even a deeper understanding.
LARRY: Yeah.
JAMIE: That’s important.
LARRY: Yeah, that’s good.
JAMIE: But it comes out of seeing. I’m a visual person. I’ve taken some recent tests over the last week or so and just really interesting tests, personality tests, and they tell me that first and foremost my primary way of learning is visual.
LARRY: Yeah, yeah.
JAMIE: My last way of learning is through my ears.
LARRY: Yes.
JAMIE: But so many people out there they’re having a hard time capturing the message because they’re not using their eyes where you know we find in the scripture he says you know I will watch to see what He will say to me. I will watch to see what He will say to me. You know so how do we watch to see what He’s saying? And that’s where I feel we need to understand the concept that God wants to use our eyes to see in the realm of the spirit and then from there to seize what it is that He’s trying to display to us!
Our Guest Cleddie Keith
CLEDDIE: And I was sitting there thinking to myself well if it wasn’t you God it should have killed them. Amen!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: I didn’t have a great deal of sympathy for them. And then I saw this one person and I was like looking like this almost like I was in a trance. I was going – – … and then I went like this.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: It was my wife!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: Now my wife can’t chew gum and talk and walk at the same time.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: She is uncoordinated. I mean she’ll tell you now she’s uncoordinated and the Holy Ghost got a hold of my wife! Now if you know if the Holy Spirit gets hold of the preacher’s wife it has to be God!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: She had jumped up, I found out later, Sid, she ran into a laminated beam that we have in the church. She ran straight in it. Knocked her back on her back and she was laying on the floor laughing and she got up and she started, this was on Sunday morning folks!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: This is not supposed to happen on Sunday morning and she started running around the building and I knew right then the move of God was on! We had service twice a day for the next 3 or 4 years. We had service twice a day except on Saturday and we would have greater crowds on Wednesday night than we’d had on Sunday morning! One night I fell out under the power. How many of you know what falling out under the power is? I’m not going to do that! I’m not going to you know make a fool out of myself! You know but God doesn’t have a great deal of respect for my feelings.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: I was just under the influence and I was laying on the floor and all I could do was move my finger like that. I could move that little finger.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: This is a true story. My associate, my youth pastor, and worship leader was Dan McCollum. He’s just written a great book on prophecy. He works out in Northern California. He works with Bill Johnson’s people out there in Global Legacy and what happened all I could do is move that little finger. He comes down and looks at me moving my little finger. He said well he’s giving an altar call!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: And I was! And thirty people jumped up and ran down to the altar and got saved!
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER AND CLAPPING]
CLEDDIE: I mean it was amazing! It was like that night and day! I mean it was, it was, I remember one day there was a whole bunch of people came into my office in the middle of the day. And when they got together the power of God would fall! It was any kind of thing that could happen! It was dangerous to come together if you were at work if you came by the church. And so I was there and I had my son was going through a great problem at that time and I pulled into the parking lot and I began to sing a little song. I write songs every once in a while. And I was singing Hide me away, mon, in the cleft of the rock, mon. In the cleft of the rock, mon, please hide me away. Oh, hide me away, mon, in the cleft of the rock, mon. In the cleft of the rock, mon, please hide me away. No power, no foe can cancel my new birth. No power, no foe can take away my worth. Cause I’m hiding away in the cleft of the rock. In the cleft of the rock, I’m just hiding away. We started singing that about 8 o’clock one morning and 2 o’clock in the afternoon were still singing it!
AUDIENCE: Mm!
CLEDDIE: And there are people all over the floor in my office. The mailman comes to deliver the mail.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: He comes walking up in the office and he sees all these people laying there and singing songs and he comes in like that and he’s stepping over bodies with his back to the wall. I don t know what he told them down at the post office.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHTER]
CLEDDIE: I’ve seen our gymnasium when we had no music out there where there’d be three of four hundred people slain in the spirit. I’m talking about in a local church! It was like it became a portal. It was like God begin to move. You see what had happened about three months into it I thought I needed to call some men that had real influence on my life and I called my friend. His name was Leonard Ravenhill. And I said Brother Ravenhill, have you ever heard anything about the move of God in America? And I didn’t know he told the Lord he said I don’t want You to take me home until the next move of God hits North America.
AUDIENCE: Hmm.
CLEDDIE: And he said no, Cleddie, I haven’t heard anything about it. I said Brother Len, God is moving! I begin to describe things to him that he knew because he was from Great Britain. He was peers with men that had been a part of the Great Welsh Revival. Men like you know Smith Wigglesworth. He knew because he had seen these manifestations of the Spirit before. He knew it was God! He died three months later.
AUDIENCE: Jesus! Mm.
CLEDDIE: I’m going to tell you right now there has to be a hunger! And I don’t preach to minds. I don’t preach to heads. I’m preaching to your heart! I’m speaking to your heart right now. And I want to give you some reasons why that people don’t have a move of God in their life. Would you like to know?
AUDIENCE: Yes.
Our Guest Becky Dvorak
BECKY: Do you need new lungs in this place? Do you need new kidneys? Do you need a new heart? The people watching, do you need these things? Jesus is willing and able to give them to you. Amen? It wasn’t bad enough with all of that. We were then told about a week later, that he was brain dead. Now we received that one, coming down the mountain of Guatemala City to visit him. And from our car, and you know what? We could have given up. We felt like giving up, but we refused. And we held each other accountable, my husband and I. We refused to speak the negative. We couldn’t afford to speak death at all over Marcos. We had to just shut those natural eyes, and say, “In Jesus’ Name you will live, you will not die. You will fulfill your destiny in Jesus’ Name.” And from our car, after that phone call, we commanded in Jesus’ Name. We renounced the Spirit of death for one last time. Listen to that word. For one last time. We didn’t have to battle it again. For one last time. Maybe we should have done that before, but you know. We were just going, you know, we were learning. Right? And so, from our car, we said, “In Jesus’ Name.” And we renounced the Spirit of death for one last time. We released the Spirit of life, and we commanded a new brain to be recreated and to function perfectly normal. Who needs a new brain?
AUDIENCE: [laughs]
BECKY: No, I’m serious. Do you have a problem with your brain? Do you have a problem with your memory? Why would you settle for less? Because you’re getting old? Because you’re aging? Why would we settle for that? Huh? Are you having a problem with epilepsy? Maybe someone here, maybe someone on the camera is. I see people with epilepsy healed. No more seizures. No more any of it. You don’t have to accept it, Satan’s wickedness. You got to shake it off, and say, “No More.” Amen?
AUDIENCE: [clapping]
BECKY: You got to take your authority. There is someone here that is dealing with – it’s on their left side. And it’s right here in their brain, in their head area. Oh, and it’s painful. It causes a lot of pain. There’s someone else, on this side, on the right side. And it’s above the ear, and it’s in this area. And there is something there that is causing great problems, and there is someone here that’s watching on the internet, or on the TV; that you are dealing with epilepsy. And God is delivering you from that right now as we speak. We renounce it. Jesus shed His blood 7 times, and by His stripes, you have been delivered from epilepsy, in Jesus’ name. No more seizures in this place, in Jesus’ mighty name. There is someone else that has a problem with T.M.J. and God is going to open up your mouth, so that He can realign it. Open your mouth, and let him realign it, and be healed. Amen! Right? It happens. Amen, it’s happening. Come on. Don’t be afraid of it. In Jesus’ name. Don’t accept it. Why would you accept that? There’s someone else that is having a problem in their right knee. And He’s saying, “Start bending your knee, and it can be free in Jesus’ name. Someone else here is dealing with arthritis. Just a real crippling type of arthritis that’s starting to overtake your body. Little by little, it’s like joint per joint. He says, “You forgive in Jesus’ Name. You release them from your bitterness. You release them from your vengeance. And you will be free.” So right now you just say, “In Jesus’ Name, I forgive; I forgive” and say the person’s name. “I forgive them, and I release them from my bitterness. And in doing so, I am free from arthritis in Jesus’s mighty name. In Jesus’s mighty name.” Someone else is dealing with a lot of problems in their adnominal area. You feel like nauseous all the time. Something’s not right in there. It’s like, a lot of, excessive acid, and you feel like you have to, (I’m sorry), vomit. I mean often.
Our Guest Donna Schambach
DONNA: It was his LIFESTYLE! When he was sick in his body, he never said, I’m sick. He never talked about pain; but he always talked about Jesus has always been my Great Physician.
LARRY: Yeah.
DONNA: and He’s going to continue to be my Great Physician.
LARRY: Yeah.
DONNA: So I believe that’s another discipline.
LARRY: Yes.
DONNA: that we LEARN, by giving our LIPS over to God.
LARRY: Yes.
DONNA: and begin to confess that Jesus is Lord of every situation; He’s bringing me out. I’m the head and not the tail; I’m above, and not beneath.
LARRY: But it’s funny because people will sometimes hear us talk that way, and they’ll and they’ll say something like, Well you’re denying reality!, or You’re denying the situation or circumstance. It’s like no; nobody is denying anything; we’re MAGNIFYING the One Who is ABOVE the circumstance.
DONNA: Well and.
LARRY: I mean that’s exactly it.
DONNA: and there is! There are two places that we can live. The Bible says that we can live in the flesh.
LARRY: Yes.
DONNA: and we can live in the spiritual realm.
LARRY: Yes.
DONNA: But, The flesh wars against.
LARRY: Yeah.
DONNA: the spirit. So we have to make a choice everyday: Am I going to allow the Holy Spirit to guide what comes out of my mouth?
LARRY: Yeah.
DONNA: Or am I going to be drawn to the flesh.
LARRY: Yeah
DONNA: which will keep me in that level that level of pain, depression, circumstance? But whereas the Spirit wants to lift us above that and see with different eyes.
LARRY: Yeah; yeah. Well I mean those are just fantastic points that Donna has just shared. Just to r-review, number one: Cultivate a lifestyle in the Word of God, because that makes you aware: Every promise of the Word of God reminds you of the One His name is Holy Spirit Who lives inside of you. I believe the Word of God wants to make you more aware of the God Who lives inside of you, and Who wants to USE you for mighty acts. Number two, be moved with compassion. I believe the Spirit of God specifically, today in this program, through DONNA, was talking about if you want to see miracles, you want to see captives free, bodies healed, situations reversed and turned around, I believe it all begins with compassion. God wants to actually move YOU into impossible situations, where people are dealing with impossible situations.
DONNA: Amen.
LARRY: and circumstances. God wants to actually put you right in the middle of that situation and with a heart of compassion and you become the solution to that problem; the Spirit living inside of you becomes the solution. And then number three, Donna, I mean it’s so important to have that confession of praise, because at the end of the day, we’re magnifying the Lord. Doesn’t mean we pretend-away a problems; it just means that there is a KING over every storm and situation, and His name is JESUS.
DONNA: Yes.
LARRY: And AS you do those things, just like she was sharing, you cultivate an ATMOSPHERE of the anointing of God, in your life. And as we go into the next segment, we’re going to actually talk about spiritual authority: How to use your authority, even when you don’t feel anything! When you don’t feel [CHUCKLING] SPIRITUAL, when you don’t FEEL the anointing, when you don’t feel the glory, how you can walk into a situation, and use the AUTHORITY of God on the BASIS of the Word of God. MUSIC
Sid Roth
SID: Six, you’ll get such revelation from God when you pray in your supernatural language. Do you want more revelation from God? You’re going to be sensitive to God’s voice. You’re going to walk in His tangible presence. You’re going to have supernatural favor and peace. Even the chemistry of your brain will change. Let me read this, an amazing report from Dr. Carl Peterson, M.D., brain specialist. Through research and testing, he found out when we pray in the Spirit, there is activity, that begins to take place in our brain. As we engage in our heavenly language, the brain releases chemical secretions that are directed into our immune system, giving it a boost. This promotes healing within our bodies. Amazingly, this secretion is triggered from a part of the brain that has no other apparent activity in humans and is only activated by praying in tongues. I’m going to pray for you to all to pray in tongues and move into multiple languages, and be the people that God has called you to be. I told you that we have uncovered the ancient key to the power of the first Jewish believers in the Messiah, and it’s right in the Scriptures. Let me read this to you. Acts, Chapter 6, Verse 4. And I’ll read it first in the English, and then I’ll read you what the Greek says. This is the English. It’s the apostles and they’re saying, “We will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.” You’re familiar with that. But this is what it says in the Greek: “We will give ourselves continually to [THE] Word and [THE] prayer.” What was [THE] prayer? Paul will give you a clue. He said in First Corinthians 14, Verse 18, “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.” He was southern, Y’all. I speak – the man that wrote most of the New Testament thought it was important enough to speak in tongues more than anyone else. And in 1 Corinthians, chapter 14 verse 5, in the Greek, it says, “I want you all to speak in tongues.” That should close the case. I want you all to speak in tongues. Now, you must be born again in order to get the gift, of the Spirit of God. And along with the gift, comes different gifts. And everyone has the ability to speak in [THE] prayer, because otherwise Paul would not have said, “I want you all to speak in tongues.” But there are special types of tongues that not everyone has that gift. For instance, if you’re in a congregation, you might speak in tongues and someone will have an interpretation. Not everyone has that gift, but everyone Paul wants to speak in [THE] prayer language. And so if you’re born again I’m going to teach you just briefly, and we’re going to have a miracle happen for you right at home, right where you’re watching, right now. A miracle is going to happen for you. You are going to speak prayers, perfect prayers, with perfect faith, for the rest of your life. Do you want that?
Audience: Yes! [claps]
SID: Okay. Now Acts 2:4 says, “And they,” emphasis on the word “they”. “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues.” Who spoke with other tongues? “They” spoke with other tongues; the Holy Spirit do the speaking? “They” spoke with other tongues. Here’s the deal. You don’t open your mouth and make a sound, no one else will. You’re saying, I’m waiting for God to take over my tongue. I’m glad you weren’t, Peter. I mean, we made fun of some of the things Peter did. But he walked on water. Do you know why he walked on water? Jesus is walking water and Peter says, “That’s pretty cool. Can I do that?” Would you think that? Could I walk on water like that? And so Jesus said, “Come.” And Peter said, “Well, If you move my legs for me I’ll come, Jesus.” No! He didn’t say that. He stood up. He knew how to walk. He’d been doing it his whole life. No big trick. And swings his foot out. Who did the walking?
Our Guest Richard Booker
RICHARD: Well Pentecost
is one of the Feasts of the Lord, and in every Christians’ favorite book of the
Bible. Leviticus [laughs], you know.
LARRY: [laughing] Yeah; yeah, yeah, yeah.
RICHARD:
But I really. that’s. actually the Book of Leviticus is the mother lode of the
Gospel in what Christians call the Old Testament!
LARRY: Yeah.
RICHARD: If they could get past their fear of these old rituals, the Hebrew
Bible is a picture of a person!
LARRY:
Mm.
RICHARD:
So you’re looking for. you’re looking to find the person in the pictures.
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
And so the festivals of the Lord are
really summarized in Leviticus, chapter 23. But anyway the point is these are feasts
of the Lord.
LARRY:
Yes.
RICHARD:
that He gave to the Jewish people, but for all of God’s covenant people to.
LARRY:
Mm.
RICHARD:.
to celebrate and enjoy for all time. So they’re actually pictures of a person.
The Hebrew word, moadim; means a special, set apart time, to meet with God!
LARRY:
Wow.
RICHARD: Well so that’s what they are. Back in the 70s, long before most people (laughing)
who are alive today.
LARRY: (laughing)
RICHARD:
you know, we had this wonderful move of God.
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
and we. we. we couldn’t get enough of Jesus.
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
So we would. we would invent meetings and organize things, just so we could sit
around together and praise the Lord all day.
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
all day; we called them Jesus fests.
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
Jesus festivals. The feasts of the Lord, Larry, are Jesus festivals!
LARRY:
Yeah, that’s good.
RICHARD:
Hallelujah!
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD: (laughing)
That’s what they are!
LARRY:
Yeah; yeah.
RICHARD:
So, but it began long before Acts, all the way back in the Book of Exodus!
LARRY:
Wow.
RICHARD:
God came down upon Mount Sinai in the Bible, people know this story. And the
mountain shook, you know, and quaking.
LARRY:
Yes.
RICHARD:
and the fire of God in the smoke! Man, can you imagine being there? And the
people ran to the foot of the mountain to see all this, what’s going on, and
God spoke to the people. But people who are Bible students might remember,
coming out of Egypt, it says it was a mixed multitude.
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
So there was all kinds of people coming out of Egypt. It was the ancient
superpower of the world.
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
so a lot of people came out with the Hebrews, and they spoke all kind of
languages. So how is God going to say something to these people.
LARRY:
Wow.
RICHARD:
where they can all hear the same thing?
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
So the Jewish sages have always taught for centuries that when God spoke the
Commandments to the people, Larry, He spoke to them out of the mountain in
tongues of fire, and they saw and heard the words coming to them in their own
languages! Isn’t that amazing!
LARRY: (claps)
That’s amazing.
RICHARD:
Wow!
LARRY:
I mean that’s like a prophetic picture though.
RICHARD:
It is!
LARRY:
of what we see fulfilled at Pentecost!
RICHARD:
It is. it’s exactly! So they rushed to the mountain; they heard God speak in
these [laughing] tongues of fire, in their own languages. Then Moses got up and
gave his sermons, but it was kind of a disappointment b-because they had been
worshipping this golden calf.
LARRY:
Yeah; yeah.
RICHARD:
and 3,000 people died.
LARRY:
Wow.
RICHARD:
in the–
LARRY:
Oh.
RICHARD:
in the presence of the fire of God. But God spoke all of this, and put it on
stone tablets.
LARRY:
Yes.
RICHARD:
It was a picture. So, now what happened, Larry, is the Prophets said there’s
going to come a time in history when God, Who wrote those those Laws on the
stone tablets, is going to write them on the fleshly tablets of people’s
hearts.
LARRY: (claps)
Yes; yeah.
RICHARD:
Hallelujah! And come inside of us, and upon us, and surround us!
LARRY:
Yes.
RICHARD:
And we’d be enveloped in. in the fire, and power, and Spirit of God!
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
So every year they’d come back to Jerusalem. They’re supposed to come very
year. After Passover they’d go home; then they’d come back 50 days later, and
that’s what Pentecost means, you know.
LARRY:
Yes.
RICHARD:
And they’d. they’d say, Maybe this would be the year!
LARRY:
Yeah.
RICHARD:
And they’d go home, disappointed.
LARRY:
Wow.
RICHARD:
Come back the next year, Maybe this would be the year!
LARRY:
Mm.
Our Guest Faisal Malick & Khalifa Wukawitz
[MUSIC AND SINGING AS KEITH LEADS IN WORSHIP]
In the presence of Jehovah, God almighty. He’s Prince of peace. Troubles vanish, hearts are mended. When we’re in the presence of the King. In the presence of Jehovah, God almighty, He’s Prince of peace. Troubles vanish, hearts are mended. When we’re in the presence of the King. Troubles vanish, troubles vanish, hearts are mended. When we’re in the presence of the King. When we’re in the presence of the King. (sings in tongues) Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. Ha, ha! I can feel His mighty power and His grace. Ah, yeah, yeah. I can feel the brush of angels’ wings, ah, I see glory on each face. Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place, ah, I can feel His mighty power and His grace. I can feel the brush of angels’ wings, I (sings in tongues) Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. (singing in tongues) Holy–Holy, yeah, yeah, yeah, –Holy God– Holy– Holy– Holy God. Hallelujah, He’s holy, He’s holy, Holy God (singing in tongues) Holy– Holy– Holy God– You’re holy, yes, You’re holy, magnificent God, You reign forever, Holy You are, Holy You are, Holy You are, sovereign King, Holy– You’re worthy, magnificent God, (sings in tongues) You’re holy, Lord You’re holy. Holy One of Yisrael. Mighty You are, mighty You were, You forevermore shall be. You are holy– You are holy– You are holy– You are holy– (singing in tongues) –Holy– Whooo– Holy– (singing in tongues) –Whooo!
KHALIDA: There is some people here that God wants you to step out. You know who you are. I’m not going to– I don’t know your name but I see one right here in front of me. Right here, stay. You’re stepping out. Okay, yes. There is people in the back, I’m talking to you way, way, way in the back. You know who you are. Okay, and I’m sure it’s okay for them to step forward. You know who you are and God is telling you there is an assignment and God wants you to be bold today. See, Keith his head is bold. Be like that. All right? He told me I could do that earlier–– Be bold. The enemy– I see some of you way in the back, the enemy’s saying “Oh, God is not talking to you, you not hearing God’s voice, it’s a long way to come to the front.” I’m telling you right now: Do not miss your appointment, come forward– now! There is a river here. Anyway when we were worshipping the river was right there. And Keith was talking about that as we worshiped and we pressed on the river came closer– Anyway when we were worshipping on the last one– my sister and I, our feet were cold. And I asked God “why am wearing socks and shoes and my feet are cold?” I stepped in the RIVER– All right? So this is your time. If you think it’s really your time and you holding back, God cannot help you. I’m not being religious. So be bold. And come forward, and receive it. I coming from a Muslim background where women don’t have voice. And God saying there is women in this house that today God is giving you a new song, a new voice!
AUDIENCE: YEAH!
Our Guest Chester & Betsy Kylstra
CHESTER: Let me just mention that as we minister in the United States we find at least 80% of the people we minister to having a root of shame and what we call shame-based personality, giving place to fear, giving place to control. So, you know, you’re a pretty good-sized group here, but if we take 80% a lot of us probably need to deal with this. In other nations that have more abandonment in their culture we find 100% of the people are shame-based. So this is not a little problem, folks, this is major and the devil uses it to keep us out of our destiny, because the more shame-based we are the more fear there is. We won’t take risks and to walk in faith it calls for a life of risk-taking, doesn’t it?
BETSY: Okay, let me tell you a few of the symptoms. Mine was that I was always apologizing. ‘I am SO sorry. Please forgive me for breathing your air.’
AUDIENCE: WOW!
CHESTER: She really said that.
BETSY: I mean I really apologized about everything. His was perfectionism and always having to be right.
CHESTER: Oh yeah, I did things perfectly, you would have been proud to have me [as] your- employee- yes-
BETSY: But oh my goodness did it get old quick-
CHESTER: And very tiring, exhausting.
BETSY: And very tiring for all of us! And then this performance and victim mentality, and unworthiness, and anger and lot’s of jealousy. You know when you feel shame you always feel like somebody else has it better, and so there’s a lot of jealousy that comes out of that.
CHESTER: Which is by the way a weapon the devil uses to get one Christian to provide an open door to attack another Christian. When you and I are jealous of somebody else we are providing an open door and that’s why a lot of people have problems and they don’t even know why they’re having it.
BETSY: They found a lot of back problems connected with being a target of jealousy.
CHESTER: Back problems, yeah, and financial issues.
BETSY: [agreeing] And financial issues as well. So, there’s a lot of territorialism. -When you feel shame you don’t feel good about yourself, then if you have a little thing that you do, you try to hold onto that to make yourself feel important. ‘I just want you to know that I’M the one handing out the bulletins. Now you just leave. You’re not handing out bulletins today. I am!’
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS IN AGREEMENT]
CHESTER: And other really important things- [joking]
BETSY: Okay, I mean our church is full of the manifestations of shame.
AUDIENCE: Uh huh!
BETSY: And we can have a shame-based leader and a controlling pastor. Or a controlling leader and a shame-based congregation. It’s really interesting the mix and match that you can get when you start to think about how does a stronghold operate.
CHESTER: So the moral of the story is we’ve need to declare war on shame and get it out of our lives.
AUDIENCE: Amen, yes.
CHESTER: But because we’ve lived with it all our lives up to this point, I don’t want you to be casual about it or to be naive thinking well I’ll pray a simple prayer and that takes care of it. This is a false identity that we have given place to. We take these on as a lie about who you and I am. And you can always identify false identity ’cause you can use a statement like ‘I am- afraid- I am- now none of us say ‘controlling’ but we might say ‘protecting myself all the time.’ If I asked you to raise your hand and, you know, admit that you’re a controller none of us would do this. One, ’cause we haven’t thought of it that way and Two, because it would stir our shame if we admitted to it, so I’m not going to ask you to do that. But we’ve learned pretty much all of us are controllers. Some are nice controllers, you know, you’re doing it for the benefit of somebody else-
BETSY: I was a very nice controller.
CHESTER: Betsy, Betsy was very nice, yes. Now this is a little hard because I don’t want you to do something you’re not willing to do or ready to do. But this is warfare so I’d sort of like you to stand up, but if you don’t stand up, which is perfectly okay, then you’ll be shamed because you won’t be joining in to do the warfare, (laughter)
so it’s okay to stand up and if you don’t want to do the ministry don’t enter in. Okay? We’ve gotten healed enough now, we don’t need to control other people. So I want you to do what you want to do, you and the Holy Spirit. Okay? We don’t want to in any way to abuse you spiritually or any other way.
BETSY: I just want to share one or two words of knowledge I had as we were preparing-
CHESTER: Okay.
Our Guest Richard Mull
RICHARD: [PRAYING] Let’s pray: Holy Spirit, we thank You for Your presence here, Lord. We don’t invite you, we just welcome You. We thank You that you’ve been here tonight, and Lord we welcome you to minister into our hearts to transform us into your image. Confess our absolute dependence upon You, Lord. We need you more than anyone and any words. In Jesus name, Amen.
RICHARD: Anybody here struggle with sin in your life? Yeah, we got a few people. Anybody here sin a lot? At some point maybe you wondered maybe I’ve gone too far. Anybody been there? Am I the only One? We’ve got a few other, we’ve got a lot of sinners here.
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS]
RICHARD: But you know Jesus was a friend of sinners and he was pretty comfortable there. The thing that encourages me, Luke 7:47. This is what Jesus said. The woman that had washed his feet with her hair-
RICHARD: [READS LUKE 7:47]
RICHARD: Anybody ever get to that place where you wondered, ‘Can God really love me?’ You feel it, you know the truth, you learn it in Sunday School, but you ask the question, ‘Can God really love me?’ What about this one. I know God forgives sin, but maybe I’ve gone just a little too far. Maybe I’ve sinned one too many times. Anybody ever felt that? What about I know God forgives, but I don’t deserve it therefore I won’t accept His forgiveness. There was a woman that was about to have her hands amputated, she came to us. We knew that the root of that was intense self-hatred. And I asked her, ‘Is there anything you’ve never been able to forgive yourself for?’ She asked if her daughter could be removed. As her daughter left, she began to talk about something that happened when she was 15 years old, that she had never been able to forgive herself for. 51 years old, 36 years later, that self-hatred had begun to take its toll on her body. Severe type of arthritis that begins to attack your appendages. She’d taught Sunday School, she’d been the pastor’s secretary. She knew the truth. She knew the word of God. But she also believed she didn’t deserve it. Aren’t you glad that we don’t have to wait ’til we deserve it? Anybody ever get to this place? I accept His forgiveness but I won’t forgive myself. This woman struggled to forgive herself. She finally accepted God’s forgiveness. I said, ‘Are you ready to forgive yourself?’ and she goes, ‘No way, I can never do that. I vowed I would never forgive myself.’ I said, ‘If the highest court in the land declares you not guilty, can a lower court hold you accountable for your crimes?’ And she said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘Are you putting yourself and your justice above the court of heaven?’ She goes, ‘Well that doesn’t sound really good, does it?’ I said, ‘I don’t think so.’
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS]
RICHARD: I said, ‘Would you forgive yourself?’ 36 years! I can never forgive myself, and that night she forgave herself. That week she went in to see the doctors, they pulled the bandages off her and her hands were restored, everything but the finger nails, they had already fallen off. And I told this story for a number of years and then I was at a home school meeting and I walked in and this grandmother was sitting there watching her granddaughter get some achievement and she was sitting there tapping her fingers and I got to see the rest of the story. I love it when God allows you to see the rest of the story. ‘Cause when He restores He restores completely. Amen?
AUDIENCE: Amen!
RICHARD: Amen!
RICHARD: Anyone ever say, ‘I hate myself, I hate myself for what I’ve done, I hate the way I look, I hate whatever it is.’ And here we have eight times Leviticus 19:18: Love your neighbor as yourself. Leviticus 19:34: Love Him as yourself. Matthew 19:19: Honor your father and mother and you will love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39: the first commandment is to love the lord your God and the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12 31: the second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27: And he answered you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. Romans 13:9: The commandments: You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not covet-and if there is any other commandment are all summed up in this saying, namely: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Galatians 5:14: for all the law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself, and James 2:8: If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love thy neighbor as thyself. It almost sounds like heresy to talk about loving yourself. We grow up learning to almost hate our self…I’m just a sinner saved by grace. To talk about loving yourself sounds wrong, according to how we grew up. But the whole law is fulfilled in loving your neighbor as you love yourself. If you don’t love yourself it’s going to be hard to love your neighbor.
AUDIENCE: Yes. C’mon now!
RICHARD: Where is the breakdown? Do we start by going, I love myself, I love myself, I love myself, I love myself-
AUDIENCE: [LAUGHS]
Our Guest Jenny Weaver
SID: Now, Jenny went from no self worth so bankrupt, she went and tried everything. Nothing helped. Nothing filled her, that gap, but she says when she understood the next two things we’ll be talking about. That not only for her, but for you also. You’re not going to be a roller coaster, up one day, down the next. Up, down, up down. No, no. Jenny, tell me your identity now.
JENNY: I am a daughter of the Most High King. My identity is that I am a true worshiper. I walk in victory every single day. I walk in signs, miracles and wonders because the spirit of God lives within me. So, that is who I am. I am a daughter of the king and daughters don’t have to beg for things. We just get everything that our father has for us. Sons don’t have to beg for things. They just get everything that the father has for them. So, that’s my identity and it can be yours too.
SID: The second question I have, you were up and down, mostly down but now you live in a continuous breakthrough. How can others get to that same breakthrough?
JENNY: The secret is the secret place. To have lasting breakthrough you have to have a secret place where you go and you meet with the Lord every day and you commune with him. That is how you can have the transformation of your mind. You’re reading the word, you’re singing the word, you’re worshiping. You have your one on one time and you get filled up with his presence. You will have lasting breakthrough because you won’t look through your eyes anymore. You’ll see with his eyes and everything shifts, everything changes.
SID: I want to release you now to the music set and I would love to have you worship God. If you’ll go to that set right now, but I’m reminded when she was absolutely desperate, she yelled out to God, God help me. I believe there are many watching me that you don’t know God. You might have known about him as a kid. You might have known about him through Judaism or through Islam or through Christianity, but you never had experiential knowledge with him. I would like to pray a supernatural prayer right now and when I pray this prayer, if you’ll say it out loud and believe it to the best of your ability, God will do for you what he did for jenny and what he did for this Jewish man. Repeat after me out loud.
SID: Dear God.
Audience: Dear God.
SID: I’m a sinner.
Audience: I’m a sinner.
SID: Against you and you alone have I sinned.
Audience: Against you and you alone have I sinned.
SID: And I’m so sorry.
Audience: And I’m so sorry.
SID: I believe the blood of Jesus.
Audience: I believe the blood of Jesus.
SID: Washes away all of my sins.
Audience: Washes away all of my sins.
SID: And I’m clean.
Audience: And I’m clean.
SID: I boldly proclaim.
Audience: I boldly proclaim.
SID: That Jesus lives inside of me.
Audience: That Jesus lives inside of me.
SID: And he is my Lord.
Audience: And he is my Lord.
SID: And I seal this.
Audience: And I seal this.
SID: In his name.
Audience: In his name.
SID: Jesus.
Audience: Jesus.
SID: Thank you.
Audience: Thank you.
SID: Amen.
Audience: Amen.
SID: We’ll have jenny play a little bit and minister to you but for more with jenny after this show ends, I want you to go to sidroth.org and now here’s Jenny.
JENNY: Psalms 27. (singing)
JENNY: Jesus, we thank you for what you’ve done and what you’re going to do for every person. Every person that believes. Father you will move on their behalf and you’re working it all out for their good and we thank you and we love you. Jesus’ mighty name.
JENNY: (singing)
Jenny Weaver grew up struggling with many deep issues. Such as cutting, witch craft, rebellions, self hatred, rejection, sexual brokenness, drug addiction, violence and even homelessness. But Jesus stepped in and set her free from every single stronghold and bondage. Now Jenny wants to show you how simple it is to walk in the freedom that your heart longs for.
JENNY: I want people to understand that we’re stepping into a whole new worship movement and he will encounter people like never before. There’s a greater glory coming and we can be a part of that.
