KYNAN: So much misunderstanding because we don’t – you know Jesus said – you said something powerful. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” One of the words the Lord gave me is that the prophet is the purveyor of truth.

HAKEEM: Mmm!

NAIM: Yes.  

KYNAN: In other words, they’re harboring the truth that will make the people free!

NAIM: That’s good!

KYNAN: So that word impregnates the people.

NAIM: Yes!

KYNAN: And when they receive that word they give birth to something!

NAIM: Absolutely!

KYNAN: Mary heard a word.

NAIM: Yes!

KYNAN: And she became pregnant.  

NAIM: Yes!

KYNAN: And she gave birth to a miracle! So talk about that. I think there’s so many people out there that maybe they’re stuck. Maybe they feel stagnant. What would you say? What is one of the keys you would give to them?

NAIM: Well I would say you know you have touched a little bit on it about Daniel. That the moment Daniel fixed his heart or set his heart to pray God sent the answer. But there was warfare.

KYNAN: [laughing] Come on!

HAKEEM: There was a contention in the heavenlies to get that answer though. And I say that when you receive a prophetic word or you’re in the company of a prophet or someone speaks or declares God’s word over you, that warfare is always the prerequisite of fulfilled prophecy!

KYNAN: Mmm! Come on! I love that! 

HAKEEM: And sometimes when people go through warfare, when they go through opposition when it seems like when they say “Well I received a prophetic word.” “Somebody called me out in a meeting.” Or “I’ve had a dream from the Lord. God has been showing me something.” Or “I have certain impressions.” And when they see warfare come it looks discouraging. It looks like they want to give up! And so warfare is also a confirmation that it’s God!

KYNAN: Hold that thought! That’s awesome! When we come back we’re going to talk more about warfare [music] and the role that the prophetic plays in releasing your breakthrough in the midst of warfare! Don’t go anywhere! We’ll be right back on “Something More!” [music ends]

PAT: That’s my favorite altar call in the Bible cause you know that story is so powerful because the father was actually outrunning the village and the village was going to come to accuse the boy and “kasasa” and according to, you know, Jewish tradition. But here’s one of the things I want to do. I believe that God is about to raise up mobile Upper Rooms! People that can be used mightily! So we need two things to happen. We got to get emotionally healed and then God will use you to heal others! I want you to take a moment as we close this. God used you. He’s used you for 30 years as The Praying Medic and now traveling the world, writing books. Can God use a normal person? Can He use just a regular Joe?     

DAVE: He can and He will use anybody including you! I was an atheist for most of my life!

PAT: [Laughs]

DAVE: I didn’t believe in God! I hated Christians! I hated the Bible! Right? If God can use me, He can use you! Start by doing this. Take your sadness, your anger, your fear, your anxiety, your pain. Ask Jesus to take it away because the Bible says that He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows! He has taken our emotional trauma! Ask Jesus to take it away. Ask Him to heal the wound in your soul. Tell Him you receive His healing and continue to do that every day with every event that you come into with someone that hurts you or you get wounded. Give that to Jesus and you’re going to watch your life change in a way you never imagined!

PAT: I think God wants to do miracles right now! I think there’s people that are watching right now! And you might be in another country, in another place, maybe you’re in the Middle East. It doesn’t matter where you’re at! God wants to do a miracle for you right now! Will you pray for people right now?

DAVE: I would love to!

PAT: For physical healing, emotional healing and the orphan spirit to be broken!

DAVE: I would. So right now I am going to release the power of the Holy Spirit upon you! I command spirits of pain to leave you! I command ligaments and nerves, tendons, bones to be healed! I command all pain to leave! Lord, I ask You to bring Your glory! Put Your presence upon these people! Let them feel Your tangible presence! Let them know You! I command the orphan spirit to be broken off of you! Let the Spirit of the Father come upon you and dwell in you so that you will know His goodness for the rest of your life!

DAVE: So at that point, and now I was 46-47 years old, the Lord met me in a dream and He told me, “Look. I’m going to show you what is wrong with your patients.” So I had to learn how to receive revelation. Learn how to see visions. Learn how to understand the Lord’s ways and learn how to operate in miracles and healing. And that took a while. I prayed for hundreds and hundreds of patients in the ambulance. I was trying to be obedient. Okay, Lord. I get it.  

PAT: How did people handle that? I mean because God would give you prophetic insight into what’s even wrong with them.

DAVE: I was afraid at first because I thought uh, you know I’m in an ambulance. Somebody here is having, you know, neck pain, chest pain, back pain or you know whatever and I’m supposed to get them to the hospital. But what I found out was my fear and anxiety about praying for people in public on the job proved to be unfounded. Everyone that I asked to pray for, and I’ve asked thousands of people, I’ve only had 3 or 4 people say no. 

PAT: Really!

DAVE: Almost everybody I asked let me pray for them, even agnostics and atheists and Buddhists. When I asked them if I could pray for them they said sure, go ahead. I’ve had people say look, I don’t even believe in God! But if you think you can get me healed go ahead and pray for me! So people are really open to prayer more than we would think that they would be. And God loves healing people! He loves showing them His power! He likes revealing Himself through His presence! When I pray for people they feel His glory. They feel His presence come on them! 

PAT: Come on!

DAVE: The peace comes over them. I had this one guy I was praying for who was having a heart attack and I prayed for him. Not only did all of his chest pain go away, all of his anxiety and fear completely gone like that!    

PAT: Wow!

DAVE: So it’s a powerful thing!
