SID: Yes. You heard me right. A baby that had been dead for a year comes back to life? What are you talking about, James?

JAMES: It was amazing, man. It was a few years ago now. It was 2000, I believe in ’12. It was unbelievable. We went on a missions trip to Ghana. We were doing crusades at night, and we were going in the villages in the day. And this one morning I woke up. As soon as I sat up in my bed, I just felt this fire surging through my body. And I actually went to the people that came on the trip, and I said, “Look, we’re all going into villages today, asking for the sickest person we could find to just believe that God would heal him.” I took a couple of pastors from the church there in Ghana with me. We went up about the new—

SID: Now, this was a big church.

JAMES: Yeah. Royalhouse Chapel, huge church in Ghana, West Africa. And I asked the pastor with me, “Can you take me to the hardest area?” Everybody wants to run from… I’m like bring it on. And it was noon hour. All the Muslims were washing their hands, getting ready to pray and chant. And as I walked up, many times, John 5 says, “Jesus said to the father, ‘I do what I see my father do.'” So many times. I’ll prophetically ask God, what are you doing here? I want to know where you are in the room so I can go there. I see a woman off to the side laying on a bench. And I see Jesus kneeling next to her holding like almost her midsection. And I said to the pastors, “I don’t know what’s going on with, Jesus is over there. That’s where we need to be.”

And it was amazing. And when we walked up, we asked her to stand up. She woke up from her nap, and when she stood up, she had a purple dress on and the gown flowed, and you could tell she was very pregnant, like last trimester, easy. And I said through the interpreter, “Here’s the vision I saw over you. I saw a man, Jesus.” She didn’t know the Lord. I’m not sure if she was Muslim or whatever. And then we asked her, “What do you want the Lord to do for you?” She told me that the baby that she had had been dead for one year, that witch doctors performed a ceremony and literally cursed her womb never to open again. And she said that it’s been the biggest pain in her life and caused the deepest sorrow.

And I said, “Look, we’re going to pray right now.” To be honest with you I wanted to just curse the curse that was on her womb. I wasn’t even thinking like, resurrection. I was just thinking, let’s just curse what the devil tried to do. And we prayed in the power of God. I cursed the curse on that womb as we laid hands. And her stomach was hard as a rock. And all of a sudden when I said, “I curse the curse on this woman, I command a life in her womb,” and I yelled, “Now in Jesus’ name.” And I’m going to tell you something, the whole stomach started moving. She started jumping. It was unbelievable.

SID: This child had been dead. By the way, I have to tell you, James, I checked [on] this story with a doctor. And he said, “Well, that would be highly unusual, but it is possible.”

JAMES: Wow. Yeah.

SID: Now do you know if she eventually had the baby?

JAMES: Yes. When I got home, the pastors… Well, we led her to the Lord. And the pastors—

SID: Well, that’s good.

JAMES: Yeah. Number one. And then the pastors brought her back to the main sanctuary and started working with her, and about two months after I came home, I got an email from one of the pastors saying she sure enough delivered a healthy baby boy. And it was just a miracle from God.SID: 16 years old, your first experience with what you call, and the Bible calls the fire of God.

SID: I want you to repeat after me:

By the blood. Okay, just say, ‘Lord, I repent, I repent. Don’t let me be offended anymore, God. Yes, wash me, God. Wash me, God. Wash me, God. Wash me, God. Take away those offences, God, those sins every time I was offended, God. Go deep, God, I’m desperate to be cleaned of every time I was offended, Lord. Remove those sins with your all powerful blood, Lord Jesus, right now. O Messiah, cleanse me, cleanse me for being offended at my spouse, my children right now, my boss, my pastor. I repent for being offended at them. I repent for every sinful offended word I spoke. Say it out your mouth: Clean my mouth with Your blood, Lord. Clean my mouth with Your blood, Lord. Wash me of every time I’ve slandered someone. I’ve spoken ill about people.

I’ve said those angry offended words, God. Cry out to God right now. This is serious. God does not want His church offended. This is why His church is sick. Cry out to Him to wash you clean of those sins of offence. God forgive us, God. Forgive us, God. Forgive us for being offended, Lord. Put your blood, put your blood, put your blood. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Ah, Jesus, thank you. Yes, yes. Be broken hearted. You spoke evil about God’s creatures. It doesn’t matter what people do to you. It matters how you respond. It doesn’t matter what people do to you. It matters on how you respond. You’re the one getting wounded. Yes, Lord, put the blood. C’mon, one more push, 30 more seconds I want you to just focus really big time on the blood and repenting. We repent, Lord, we repent, God. Great Father, we ask you please, God, make your church unoffendable.

Heal every wound inside of us. Heal the sin that made those wounds right now with Your blood. Heal the sin that made those wounds with Your blood, Your all powerful blood. Go back in the deep layers, penetrate it, saturate us in the deep places. With Your blood remove every sin Lord right now in Jesus name. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name we decree it, we decree it. When we forgive, let’s do that one last thing: We forgive those people that we were offended at. We forgive them, Lord. And we ask that You would put Your blood on their sin of offence so they don’t get wounded, and they don’t get sick Wash them clean in Your blood. We forgive everybody that ever hurt us, and that was ever offended at us, or that we were ever offended at. In the name of Jesus. C’mon, just give God a praise in this first part for what He is doing.

SID: Okay. We about ready to go to Step Two. But a little commercial break from our sponsor, God. Someone’s wrist has just been healed. In Jesus name. Go ahead, Katie.

But because it was both of us have the same symptoms at the same time we thought maybe this is an evil spirit up to something. So we prayed together and we said we just tell our evil spirit to leave in the name of Jesus. Now all the symptoms left apart from that I still had a bad headache. And my friend went home and I thought I’m not putting up with this headache any longer. This is from the enemy. I’m not having it. We have authority. We have power over all the power of the enemy, Jesus says in Luke, chapter 10. That’s amazing, isn’t it? Just go away and read it. Just keep reading that verse where He gives us power and authority over ALL the power of the enemy. That’s the truth! So anyhow so I’m there on my own then.

I’m in my living room and we’ve got these French windows looking out onto the garden. My headache is really bad. And I’m like in the name of Jesus I command that evil spirit to leave me now! And as soon as I said it there was a big bang. And what happened was there was a woodpecker, just which— they’re not very common really in England. But it was flying through our garden towards our house. The evil spirit must have left me and it entered this woodpecker cause evil spirits want to be in a body. The nearest body was this woodpecker flying. So it left me, it enters this woodpecker and the woodpecker bashed itself into the window upstairs, fell to the ground just outside the French windows. Dead! I mean “deadedety dead!” Like— dead! It must have broken its neck. I mean it was like its neck was twisted. It was on its back. Its feet in the air. It was like— similar, similar to that. But not exact.

AUDIENCE: (LAUGHTER)

ALISS: So— and I’m like oh no. I’ve killed a woodpecker and I was feeling so bad. But my headache had gone. Like all the symptoms had gone. And I’m like I just felt really bad. And it was just lying there. And I, you know after about 5 minutes— so 10 minutes went by and I’m looking at it. And I’m like should I do something? It’s obviously broken its neck. It’s completely dead. And I thought there isn’t much teaching on raising the dead. So are you supposed to lay hands on it? Or can you just speak to it? Do I have to go outside? Can I do it through the window? I thought well— so after about ten minutes I thinking okay, I’ll give it a go. So I spoke out loud. Because when you speak out loud it’s very powerful. So I spoke out loud. And I said in the name of Jesus I command that spirit of death, cause it was a spirit of death obviously it killed this woodpecker, or it was some kind of curse or something to do with death. I said spirit of death I command you to leave that bird now. Now as soon as I said that this woodpecker— it’s like this— and it goes— turns around, it sits up, opens its eyes and it’s like— well it wasn’t smiling, but if it could it would be.

AUDIENCE: (LAUGHING)

ALISS: Just looking at me like that. (laughs) And I’m like “YES, my first resurrection! Come on! (laughing)

AUDIENCE: (APPLAUDING) ALISS: Because you’re going to practice these things. I’ve been practicing. Praying for people who have died cause I want to see the dead raised. But were not going to see it if we don’t actually practice it and have a go. Well you’ve got to practice. You know you’re learning all the time. I learn a lot from my mistakes, I have to say. I make a lot of mistakes but I just keep going. And I keep saying Holy Spirit, what should I have done? Holy Spirit, what were you doing right then? Can you show me? I’m always asking Him. Just get to know the Holy Spirit. So this woodpecker’s sitting there. You know it’s alive. And it’s sitting there for like 5 minutes and it’s not flying away. And I thought wouldn’t it be ironic if a cat comes round the corner and just like swoops it up so I was like in the name of Jesus fly and I pointed to it and said it and it flew off into the trees. Now about 6 months later I was speaking at a after dinner, I was an after dinner speaker at an event. And before I went I said Holy Spirit what would you like to do this evening in this meeting? And suddenly two woodpeckers came and sat in the tree right outside where I was looking. And I thought you know something happens like that, anything that happens that’s slightly unusual or you have— you’re just thinking, hmmm.
