SID:  Hello, Sid Roth here with Something More, and my guest, Dr. Randy Clark.  And uh Randy, in your brand-new book, “Power to Heal”, uh, y-you –

 

SID:  talk about a 5-step prayer model, uh, a-and you make it very clear uh that God isn’t limited.

 

SID:  You can’t put God in a box.  Not formulas, but what results are people having that follow your 5-step prayer model?

 

RANDY:  I’ve had people from all over the world, and in many language groups; they’ve said it’s just a simple way to give them an understanding of how they could start learning how to see what the Father’s doing, how to – how to hear, how to – how to know how to pray, give them language, give them – and it’s been very successful.  We even take kids as young as 13-years old to Brazil every year – uh 13 to 29 – and they’ll have usually uh somewhere between 5- and 8,000 healings happen that 2-weeks that they’re down there.  And so these are kids; –

 

SID:  Hm.

 

RANDY:  our – are young people; uh we’ve had 80-year olds learning.  And uh, it just helps them feel like, “Oh, I know how to start!”  As a matter of fact, I can’t say who – he probably wouldn’t appreciate it if I did – but a – a key educator at – at an American seminary was recently in a country, and they asked him to pray for the sick, which is something that he told me.  He said if I hadn’t – “If you hadn’t have -“, “If I hadn’t have met you, and you hadn’t told me some of – about the 5-step prayer model, I wouldn’t know where to begin!  But because you had, I was comfortable, I was able to do it, and uh, we saw people get healed.”  So whether –

 

SID:  Alright, l-let’s whet – let’s whet our appetite –

 

SID:  a little bit.  You cover, from A to Z, everything they need to be able to function in the healing ministry, –

 

SID:  and that is normal!  Everything you read in the Bible about Jesus, it’s available to you, according to the Bible.  And [CHUCKLES] if Jesus paid the price for every sickness, uh every disease, and every sin; uh read about it in the 103rd Psalm.  Uh, and so we want to make this entire curriculum available to you, –

 

SID:  uh plus a special uh CD with a prayer of impartation for an investment of $69.  Uh – uh something that intrigues me to no end:

 

SID:  Why do you have such a gift, Randy, for impartation?  That is, praying the same things that are going on with you will go on with other people.  Uh I – I mean i-is there – why you?

 

RANDY:  I don’t know.  I –

 

SID:  [CHUCKLES]

 

RANDY:  all I know, Sid, is that I don’t deserve it; there’s a lot more people that’s more holy than me, more faith than me.  All I know is when I was a pastor of a small little church – a Baptist church – met John Wimber.  He heard the audible voice of God tell him, the first two times we – he met me, that God was going to send me one day around the world to lay hands on pastors, and leaders, and people, to be stirred up and activated in the gifts of the Spirit, or be filled with the Spirit.  And so 10 years later, when Toronto happened, John Wimber called me and said, “This is what God showed me about you 10 years ago; it starts now.”  So in one sense, I’ve just – you know, God chose me.  A-and sometimes “[He chooses] the foolish … and … weak things” to “confound the wise; and … the strong.”  [CHUCKLES]  Uh, so I really don’t know.  I’m just glad uh that He did; I’m glad it happens.  Uh, and –

 

SID: I – I-I’ve got a list of a half-a-dozen people that have worldwide ministries, uh, that you have prayed prayers of impartation over; even some you prophesied over.  But the truth of the matter is, when I have you pray in a moment, if the people are receptive, it’d be the same as you laying hands on them, and you’ve had that happen to people.  Uh, w-would you teach for about 2-minutes on impartation and then pray?

 

RANDY:  Yes uh, I will.  But let me just say one other thing before I do that uh Sid.  You mentioned your curriculum stuff that you’re – you’re selling.

 

SID:  Yes.

 

RANDY:  One of them has a – the same book also has “word of knowledge”.  Let me say this:  Every time I’ve taught on word of knowledge – every time without fail since 1984 when uh the – the one week after I learned about it – people were activated in the gift of word of knowledge.  I know, without a shadow of a doubt, people who read that part, that chapter about word of knowledge; they will start having words of knowledge.  Now, about impartation:  Uh, it’s in the Bible; and Paul says in Romans, “[I wanted to come to] you, that I may [lay my hands upon you to] impart some spiritual gift to you ….”  Uh, he talks to Timothy, “[S]tir up the gift [you see with] the laying on of My hands.”  Uh in – in 2 Timothy 1:6.  In 1 Timothy 4:14, he says, “Do not neglect the … gift within you, … through prophetic [message] … of … the presbytery.” Uh, when they lay their hands upon you.  Uh, so Paul himself received uh the filling of the spirit, through the laying on of hands of Ananias.  The Samaritans received it; the Believers in Samaria, at Philip’s revival, they received the Holy Spirit when Peter and John laid their hands upon him.  Uh, what’s really interesting about Paul is Ananias was not an apostle; he was just a – a – a regular guy, a Christian, that was used to – to impart to the great man who would become the Apostle Paul.  So through the New Testament – and in the Old Testament – Moses said that for the – your uh Jewish listeners, Moses said uh, God said to Moses in 11 – Numbers 11:17, “… ‘Gather … the elders [together at the tent] of meeting, … [And] I will come down and … I will take of the Spirit that is []on you and [I] will put [it ]on them; and they [will help you carry] the burden of the people ….'”  Then, in Deuteronomy 34:9 it says um uh, “… Joshua the son of Nun [received] the spirit of wisdom [because] Moses … laid his hands on him.”  So, you can have impartation with laying on of hands, or you can have it without the laying on of hands; but it’s very, very biblical.  And uh, in the history of the church, at different times, in the earliest days of the liturgy, after you were baptized, you came out of the baptismal water; they prayed a prayer of deliverance, and then they laid hands on you, and prayed that you would be baptized, or filled with the Holy Spirit, and gifts activated.  And 400 years later, in the time of Augustine, he even writes about how that’s still happening in his day!  So there’s a little bit from just a little bit of the Bible, and a little bit of uh church history.  Uh, you can – you can track, in church history, famous people who prayed for others, and they got an impartation.  Well one more.  Elijah prayed for Elisha, and Elisha got a double portion like he asked for – uh, the – the mantle – or the power that was on Elijah, and did twice as many miracles!  So in the Law and the Prophets, uh in the Gospel, and in the Book of Acts, and in the Epistles, it’s there!

 

SID:  Uh I-I’m telling you, the presence of GOD is currently flowing like a river for impartation!  And if you will believe, you are going to receive some of that Spirit that is on Dr. Randy Clark.

 

RANDY:  [PHONE STATIC]  Yeah, if they will just close their eyes, and hold their hands out, in front of them.  Father, in Jesus’ name, I bless all those who are listening.  Lord, those who had faith to just position themselves before You, uh, will close their eyes and just g-give this time to You.  Oh Lord, I pray for Your gifts to be activated in them.  Lord, I pray that they –

 

RANDY:  would feel Your Presence, Your power, Your anointing; God, that You would begin to activate words of knowledge; and Lord, uh, even if You activate them, I pray that they’d –

 

RANDY:  they’d learn how to recognize them, because if You activate them and they don’t know what they are, they won’t – [CHUCKLES] they won’t – they won’t – they’ll be moving in them, but not know how to recognize them; so I pray, God, that You just orchestrate things so they can get the teaching as well.  I pray Father, in Jesus’ name, that there would be gifts of healing come.  God, that some peoples’ hands would just uh get hot!  Uh i-if you’re listening and your hands get really hot, or if there’s a – you don’t have a – a condition which causes your hand to sweat, in the natural; you know if you have that, that doesn’t count.  But if your hands don’t do that – and all of a sudden, during this prayer, your hands begin to get moist, and you begin to see uh oil like coming on them, that’s a sign of a very strong anointing.  And Father, I thank You that I saw that of a little girl I met in Vermont; I saw it recently a couple of weeks ago in Montana; a couple of years ago this guy – this Baptist pastor, in – in uh Brazil.  And we prophesied to him; and Lord, You fulfilled that prophecy.  He said in one – you’re going to go to all the nations in Latin America; he’d never been out of the country.  And Lord, within one year you’d taken him to every country in Latin America, and he’s seeing great miracles!  God, I thank You that I pray for people, and they get more than I have.  I thank You God, and prayed for a woman pastor that saw a hundred deaf ears open in one year; and I hadn’t seen near that.  God, this man I’m talking about, this Ba- – charismatic Baptist guy that got this fresh anointing; Lord, he’s seen a -over a hundred deaf ears open; over a hundred blind eyes; over 60 people get out of wheelchairs.  Uh, Lord, he lost track over – after 100 cancer patients were healed.  Lord, that’s MUCH more than I’ve had!  And I pray, God, that there would be somebody listening that would receive an impartation, and step out in faith; and Lord, they too, would become one of the new persons that’s going to be used all over the world, or just even – [CHUCKLES] even all – all over the block; but they would see people start getting – getting healed.  I pray for the gift of prophecy to be released.  I pray for words of knowledge to be released, and gifts of healing; gifts of faith – YOUR faith – the faith of God, in Jesus’ name.  Those gifts of faith create miracles, in the name of Jesus.  Thank You God, amen!

 

SID:  Randy, I want – [SIGHS] I’ve just been thinking about this, and I want you to tell me about it.  Uh, you received a – a great impartation from many people, but one in particular –  Rodney Howard-Browne – the summer of ’93.  And then literally 4-months later you go to Toronto, –

 

SID:  that first meeting.

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  Ooooh!

 

SID:  Uh tell me what you remember at that first meeting in Toronto.

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  I’m praying for the HEAT to come upon the leaders –

 

RANDY:  Well there wasn’t very many people there; between 120 and 160.

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  evangelists, and the missionaries, as a sign of the healing anointing.  Lord, the electricity, as Paul, the Apostle Paul said,

 

SID:  It was a storefront, as I understand, which then became the – the Air- – Toronto Airport Church.

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  “[When we] labor [with all of] His [energy], -”

 

RANDY:  Yes.

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  “which [works so] mightily … within [us].”

 

RANDY:  Uh when I first went there, the sanctuary – it seats 400 – 300 in the overflow.

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  And so God, I’m asking, arms up toward Heaven; let the Holy Spirit fall on them.

 

RANDY:  Uh, a few months later they built a – bought a place that seats 5,000.

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  Release the angels of God.

 

RANDY:  They had explosive growth.  Uh, –

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  Release the anointing for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Release them with rivers that flow!

 

RANDY:  but I remember one woman in p- –

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  Let the power upon these pastors, I pray God, for FIRE, and POWER, –

 

RANDY:  uh the first guy, the very first man that go so touched – he’s shaking all over –

 

VIDEO:  RANDY:  and ANOINTING to come upon us.

 

RANDY:  He became a missionary in Russia.

 

SID:  Hm.

 

RANDY:  Uh, o-one of the first women that was uh, laughing, and on the floor; and I – I walked away from; the Lord said, “Go back and tell her she’s been sad too long.”  Well I found out later that she well – well had a terminal illness, and had been fighting a terminal illness for years.  And that moment, the joy of the Lord came on her, and she laughed for hours!  She got totally healed of her terminal condition, and now she has a ministry uh going particularly into Scandinavia.  And it was actually – she actually laid hands on – I didn’t know it, but the – a 9-month w- – m- – a woman, 9-month pregnant, had just been told her baby had died in the womb, and was going to have to have a stillbirth.  She doesn’t know that; walked up to the woman in the meeting, lays her hands on her abdomen; prays, just blessing this baby, not knowing it’s dead.  Two years later when she went back to that church in that city, the little miracle boy came and jumped in her arms, that came to life while dead in the womb.  And it’s – that’s the second uh person in Toronto that – that uh was – was powerfully touched!

 

SID:  Well I – I have to believe the most AMAZED person, n-now you had had several meetings before that where the same things were going on; but you had no guarantee that it would continue going on.  Did you think it would just stop after a few meetings?

 

RANDY:  Well I actually did.  When I – I mean, I had a prophetic word that gave me courage it was going to be very powerful, but I had no idea how powerful.  I mean, just – I just thought of, while you were asking questions –

 

SID:  I mean MILLIONS of people went to that little storefront church, except it wasn’t storefront anymore; they expanded.  I think –

 

RANDY:  Yeah.

 

SID:  the world is STARVING for the real thing, Randy.  They’re STARVING –

 

RANDY:  Yes.

 

SID:  for what we read in the Bible.  They’re STARVING for what was normal at the first church.  And if it was normal at the first church, how much more do we need it at the return of the Messiah?!

 

RANDY:  He said, “‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! … [and] Out of his belly will flow rivers of living water.'”  He talked about – and John said, “([T]his He [spoke of] the Spirit, [which has not] yet … been given, because Jesus [had] not yet [been] glorified.)”  A term in John’s gospel that means he hadn’t been glorified by being lifted up on the cross, lifted up in the resurrection, and lifted up in the ascension, so that the Father, then, would pour out the Spirit, and we’d receive the Father’s Promise, or the Promise of the Father.  So John was saying for us to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, for these gifts to become active in our life, that couldn’t happen until after – not – after the cross, and the resurrection and ascension.  So the cross is not just about forgiveness; it IS about forgiveness, but it’s more!  And it’s not just a – about uh healing; it is about healing, but it’s more!  It’s about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the New Covenant that Jeremiah and Ezekiel had spoken of.  It was contingent upon the cross, the resurrection, and the ascension; and then the Father’s Promise is poured out; the New Covenant that the Jewish prophets had spoken of.

 

SID:  Uh you know what?  If uh you have been listening, and you don’t KNOW that you KNOW the Messiah, you do not KNOW that you’ll go to Heaven when you die.  [CHUCKLES] This is your moment; this is the time.  It says uh the Wuest translation, “This is eternal life, that [you might] know [Him]”, like Adam knew Eve; had intimacy with Eve.  “This is eternal life, that [you might know the Messiah]”, that you might know God the Father.  If you’ll say this prayer, and believe it to the best of your ability, God will meet you right where you are!  Repeat out-loud, with me:  “Dear God”, out loud, “Dear God, I’m a sinner.  ‘Against You, and You alone have I sinned’, and I’m so sorry.  I believe the blood of Messiah Jesus washes away my sins, and I am clean.  And now that I am clean, I ask my Messiah and Lord Jesus to come and live inside of me.  Take over my life.  I make You Lord of my life, in Jesus’ name, amen!”  I tell you this:  If you said the prayer, and you meant it, “God is not a man, that He should lie”, and the Creator of the universe is living inside of you.  Well that was “Something More”!  [CHUCKLES]
